Matteo is one half of the team behind CinaOggi (an Italian website that brings together up-to-the-minute and often quirky multimedia reportage on China current affairs), the other member of this dynamic duo being Dominique Musorrafiti. Together they also also run Abelvideo, a video production outfit that combines their talents as Sinologist (Damiani) and video artist (Musorrafiti) in an effort to deepen the different typology of video communication in China—something they certainly did when recording the first condom ads in China (link requires a VPN or proxy in China) for an American NGO, Population Services International, back in 2007.
