Dali three pagodas

Dali's Three Pagodas by goksdc on Flickr

The sun breaks through the clouds to stream down onto Dali's famous Three Pagodas (though number three is a little obscured by the trees). Dating from 850 AD, these are some of the oldest standing pagodas in the world, and are really are a magnificent sight to see, up close or from a distance....

This shot showing them in all their hazy sunlit glory comes from goksdc on Flickr and is a recent entry in to the Ctrip China Travel Photo Contest. Head to goksdc's photostream on Flickr to see the rest of his stunning Yunnan collection.
